Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 2 (6 oz) boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, cumin, cayenne, salt, and black pepper. Transfer the mixture to a large plate and spread it evenly to create a seasoning bed.
  2. Pat the chicken breasts completely dry with paper towels. Rub each breast with avocado oil until fully coated. Press the chicken firmly into the spice mixture, ensuring every inch of the surface is covered in a thick layer of seasoning.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C). Place the chicken breasts in the basket in a single layer, leaving space between them for airflow. Cook for 12-18 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  4. Remove the chicken immediately when the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Let the meat rest for 5 minutes before slicing to lock in the juices.
