Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 1/3 cup cayenne pepper sauce
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp honey

Instructions:

  1. Slice the chicken breasts into even 1-inch thick strips or pound the thickest part of the breast to an even thickness. Pat the meat completely dry with paper towels.
  2. Toss the chicken in a bowl with avocado oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Arrange chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook at 380°F (193°C) for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  4. While the chicken rests for 2 minutes, whisk together the cayenne pepper sauce, melted butter, and honey.
  5. Toss the hot chicken strips in the sauce until fully submerged. Return to the air fryer for an additional 2 minutes at 400°F (204°C) to set the glaze.
