Ingredients:

  • 3 cups (440g) frozen mixed berries
  • 1 medium (115g) frozen banana, sliced
  • 2 cups (480ml) unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tbsp (21g) honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp (5ml) vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp (12g) chia seeds or ground flaxseeds

Instructions:

  1. Pour the almond milk and vanilla extract into the blender first to create a vortex and prevent the motor from stalling.
  2. Add the frozen mixed berries, sliced frozen banana, honey or maple syrup, and chia seeds or ground flaxseeds to the blender.
  3. Start the blender on the lowest setting and gradually increase to high. Blend for 60–90 seconds until the mixture is a single, glossy purple ribbon.
  4. Taste and adjust consistency: add a splash more almond milk if too thick, or an additional 1/4 cup of frozen berries if a frostier texture is preferred.
