Ingredients:
- 3 cups (440g) frozen mixed berries
- 1 medium (115g) frozen banana, sliced
- 2 cups (480ml) unsweetened almond milk
- 1 tbsp (21g) honey or maple syrup
- 1 tsp (5ml) vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp (12g) chia seeds or ground flaxseeds
Instructions:
- Pour the almond milk and vanilla extract into the blender first to create a vortex and prevent the motor from stalling.
- Add the frozen mixed berries, sliced frozen banana, honey or maple syrup, and chia seeds or ground flaxseeds to the blender.
- Start the blender on the lowest setting and gradually increase to high. Blend for 60–90 seconds until the mixture is a single, glossy purple ribbon.
- Taste and adjust consistency: add a splash more almond milk if too thick, or an additional 1/4 cup of frozen berries if a frostier texture is preferred.
