Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp ground mustard
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

Instructions:

  1. Add all listed ingredients into a mixing bowl.
  2. Use a whisk or fork to break up any clumps of garlic or onion powder until the color is uniform and the blend looks consistent.
  3. Form your burger patties first, then liberally sprinkle 2-3 teaspoons of seasoning per 1 lb of meat on both sides immediately before cooking.
  4. Place patties on a screaming hot cast-iron skillet or grill, pressing firmly for smash burgers to lock in the spices and create a concentrated crust.
