Ingredients:

  • 2 cups (300g) frozen strawberries, hulled
  • 1 medium (120g) frozen banana, sliced
  • 1.5 cups (360ml) unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tbsp (16g) almond butter
  • 1 tsp (5ml) pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp (1g) fine sea salt
  • 1 tsp (5g) chia seeds

Instructions:

  1. Layer the ingredients into the blender in this order: unsweetened almond milk, vanilla extract, almond butter, maple syrup, sea salt, chia seeds, and finally the frozen strawberries and banana.
  2. Start the blender on the lowest speed and quickly increase to high. Blend for 45–60 seconds until a vortex forms and the mixture is completely smooth and glossy.
  3. Check the texture. If too thick, add almond milk one tablespoon at a time. If too thin, add 2–3 more frozen strawberries and blend on low for 5 seconds to incorporate.
