Ingredients:
- 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
- 6 cups (720g) powdered sugar, sifted
- 3 tbsp (45ml) heavy cream
- 2 tsp (10ml) clear vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp (1.5g) fine sea salt
Instructions:
- Place the softened butter in your mixing bowl and beat on medium-high speed for 3–5 minutes until the butter changes from a deep yellow to a pale, almost white cream.
- Turn the mixer to low and gradually add the sifted powdered sugar one cup at a time. Once incorporated, increase the speed to medium and beat for another 2 minutes until the mixture is light and airy.
- Add the heavy cream, clear vanilla extract, and salt. Whip on high speed for 1–2 minutes until the frosting is velvety and holds a stiff peak.
