Ingredients:
- 2 large sweet apples (Gala or Fuji), peeled, cored, and chopped
- 200g medium zucchini, ends trimmed and sliced
- 2 ripe kiwis, peeled and sliced
- 3 fresh mint leaves (optional)
- 1 tsp lemon juice (optional)
Instructions:
- Wash all produce thoroughly. Peel and dice the apples into uniform 1-inch cubes and slice the zucchini into half-moons.
- Place the apple cubes and zucchini slices into a steamer basket over 1 inch of boiling water.
- Cover and steam for 6–8 minutes until the apples and zucchini are fork-tender but not mushy.
- Transfer the steamed apples and zucchini into a high-speed blender or food processor. Discard the steaming liquid.
- Add the raw kiwi slices and optional mint or lemon juice to the blender.
- Pulse on low first, then increase to high until the mixture reaches a smooth, velvety consistency.
- Optional: Pass the puree through a fine-mesh sieve if your baby is sensitive to the texture of kiwi seeds.
