Ingredients:

  • 2 large sweet apples (Gala or Fuji), peeled, cored, and chopped
  • 200g medium zucchini, ends trimmed and sliced
  • 2 ripe kiwis, peeled and sliced
  • 3 fresh mint leaves (optional)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Wash all produce thoroughly. Peel and dice the apples into uniform 1-inch cubes and slice the zucchini into half-moons.
  2. Place the apple cubes and zucchini slices into a steamer basket over 1 inch of boiling water.
  3. Cover and steam for 6–8 minutes until the apples and zucchini are fork-tender but not mushy.
  4. Transfer the steamed apples and zucchini into a high-speed blender or food processor. Discard the steaming liquid.
  5. Add the raw kiwi slices and optional mint or lemon juice to the blender.
  6. Pulse on low first, then increase to high until the mixture reaches a smooth, velvety consistency.
  7. Optional: Pass the puree through a fine-mesh sieve if your baby is sensitive to the texture of kiwi seeds.
