Ingredients:
- 3 cups (375g) all-purpose flour
- 1 packet (7g) instant yeast
- 1 tsp (6g) salt
- 1 tbsp (12g) sugar
- 1 cup (240ml) warm water
- 2 tbsp (28g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cloves (20g) fresh garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp (3g) fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 tsp (1g) dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp (1.5g) salt
Instructions:
- Combine warm water, sugar, and instant yeast in a bowl and let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- Stir in the melted butter, then gradually fold in the flour and salt until a shaggy dough forms.
- Knead the dough by hand for 3–5 minutes until the texture is smooth.
- Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rest in a warm spot for 30 minutes.
- While the dough rises, mash together the softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, oregano, and salt until a uniform paste forms.
- Shape the dough into a loaf or pull-apart rolls on a baking sheet.
- Brush half of the prepared garlic butter over the top of the dough.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20 minutes, or until the crust is mahogany-colored and sounds hollow when tapped.
- Immediately after removing from the oven, brush the remaining garlic butter over the loaf.
