- 6 (6 oz) boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, whisk together smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and coconut sugar until well combined.
- Pat the chicken breasts completely dry with paper towels to ensure a proper crust forms.
- Lightly brush each chicken breast with avocado oil, then generously press the spice rub into the meat on all sides.
- Allow the seasoned chicken to sit at room temperature for 10 to 15 minutes to ensure thermal equilibrium.
- Choose cooking method: For oven, bake at 400°F (200°C) for 12-18 minutes. For grill, cook over medium-high heat for 6-7 minutes per side. Remove chicken when internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) and let rest until it hits 165°F (74°C).
