Ingredients:

  • 1.5 cups (150g) frozen mixed berries
  • 1 medium (115g) frozen banana, broken into chunks
  • 0.5 cup (70g) frozen mango chunks
  • 1.5 cups (355ml) unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 tbsp (32g) almond butter
  • 1 tsp (5ml) vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (30g) fresh baby spinach
  • 1 tbsp (12g) chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) maple syrup

Instructions:

  1. Layer the ingredients in the blender in the following order to prevent cavitation: liquids first, followed by seeds, fresh greens, and finally the frozen fruit on top.
  2. Start the blender on the lowest speed setting to break up frozen chunks. Gradually increase to high speed over 30 seconds.
  3. Blend on high for 45-60 seconds until the mixture is glossy and no visible flecks of spinach remain.
  4. Adjust consistency: if too thick, add almond milk one tablespoon at a time; if too thin, add 2-3 chunks of frozen mango and blend for another 10 seconds.
