Ingredients:
- 1.5 cups (150g) frozen mixed berries
- 1 medium (115g) frozen banana, broken into chunks
- 0.5 cup (70g) frozen mango chunks
- 1.5 cups (355ml) unsweetened almond milk
- 2 tbsp (32g) almond butter
- 1 tsp (5ml) vanilla extract
- 1 cup (30g) fresh baby spinach
- 1 tbsp (12g) chia seeds
- 1 tbsp (15ml) maple syrup
Instructions:
- Layer the ingredients in the blender in the following order to prevent cavitation: liquids first, followed by seeds, fresh greens, and finally the frozen fruit on top.
- Start the blender on the lowest speed setting to break up frozen chunks. Gradually increase to high speed over 30 seconds.
- Blend on high for 45-60 seconds until the mixture is glossy and no visible flecks of spinach remain.
- Adjust consistency: if too thick, add almond milk one tablespoon at a time; if too thin, add 2-3 chunks of frozen mango and blend for another 10 seconds.
