Ingredients:

  • 6 boneless skinless chicken breasts (approx. 6 oz / 170g each)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

Instructions:

  1. Pat each chicken breast thoroughly dry with paper towels to ensure a proper crust.
  2. Drizzle olive oil over the breasts and rub it in to create a base for the spices.
  3. In a small bowl, mix salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, dried oregano, and cayenne pepper. Sprinkle the mixture generously over both sides of the chicken, pressing the spices into the meat.
  4. Place the seasoned chicken on a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving space between each piece.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 18–22 minutes.
  6. Use a meat thermometer to check the thickest part of the largest breast; remove from the oven when it reaches 160°F (71°C).
  7. Transfer the chicken to a plate, tent loosely with foil, and let rest for 5–10 minutes to reach a final internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
